A Bryan (Texas) man faces multiple charges after being accused of causing about
$3,000 in damage after shooting an air rifle at Post Oak Mall over the weekend.
Police said 20-year-old Julio Rodriguez was shooting the rifle in the mall
parking lot late Saturday and shattered a window above a mall entrance near
J.C. Penney.
Mall security officers detained Rodriguez at his vehicle until police
arrived. A search of his vehicle yielded two wine coolers, a glass bowl with
marijuana residue and several items of drug paraphernalia, according to court
documents.
Rodriguez was charged with criminal mischief, a state jail felony
punishable by two years in jail and a $10,000 fine. He was also charged with
three misdemeanors: possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia
and being a minor in possession of alcohol.
Rodriguez was released from the Brazos County Jail on Sunday after posting
a $7,870 bail.
